20th Century Masterpieces in Vercelli

Next week, from the 20th February, sees an exhibition representing the third phase of a large project which in the last two years has brought over 80,000 visitors to Vercelli, in eastern Piedmont to see historical masterpieces from the twentieth century.  “Peggy e Solomon R. Guggenheim: Le avanguardie dell’astrazione”

"There are more than 50 masterpieces exhibited, among which artists including Cezanne, Georges, Seurat, Braque, Matisse, Delaunay, Klee, Calder stand out together with the Italian artists loved by Peggy, Bacci, Tancredi and Emilio Vedova. Central figures in the exhibition are the two masters of the great European school of abstraction, Vasily Kandinsky and Piet Mondrian, particularly loved by the two Guggenheims."
