(ANSA) - Rome, 7th January 2009: Northern Italy continues to find itself in the grip of a major winter snow storm which has disrupted highway and air traffic. Snow has been falling over the north for more than thirty six hours and is expected to continue well into Thursday.
Milan airports, Linate and Malpensa, were both shut down until 13.00 CET Wednesday, whilst Orio al Serio airport in nearby Bergamo was back in operation by late morning.
